Cultivation tips for Red Opal Basil:
Ensure success by avoiding pre-soaking the seeds, and place them in blackout darkness for 6-7 days until their stems reach at least 3cm tall. This will set up a secure environment where mold won't take hold - then let plenty of light and fertilizer do its job over another 14 growing days to get delicious results. Red Opal Basil's firs true leaves are serrated. We recommend this variety to hydroponic growers instead of classic Basil, Italian variety.
