Description
Cellulose Growing Pads – ultra-thin grow pads for microgreens
Cellulose Growing Pads are thin and soft pads designed for clean, soil-free cultivation of microgreens and micro herbs. They create an even growing surface and help maintain stable moisture, making everyday cultivation easier and more predictable.
The flexible material allows the pads to fit well into small pots, punnets, and trays. Once moistened, they soften and adapt to the shape of the container, ensuring good root contact and even moisture distribution.
Cellulose Growing Pads are a very clean growing medium. They do not produce loose particles or dust during cultivation, which makes handling and preparation simple compared to loose substrates.
Designed for controlled growing systems
These pads perform best in systems with regular and controlled watering. Their very thin structure allows water to pass through quickly while still retaining enough moisture for proper germination.
Compared to many other substrates, the pads hold water well while maintaining good airflow for roots.
They work particularly well in:
- Indoor tray systems
- Ebb & flood tables
- Gutter systems
- Punnets and small growing pots
The balanced moisture level can also help when microgreens need to be handled longer after harvest or when refrigeration is not immediately available.
MP SEEDS Pre-cut sizes – ready to use
The pads are delivered as ready-to-use, pre-cut sheets that match the most common pot formats:
- 100 × 120 mm – for 10 × 12 cm pots (6500 pcs / box)
- 80 × 120 mm – for 10 × 14 cm pots (7500 pcs / box)
- 90 × 90 mm – for 11 × 11 cm pots (8100 pcs / box)
No cutting or shaping is needed.
The pads have straight corners, but the material is very thin and flexible. After moistening, they soften and adapt to the shape of the pot, including containers with rounded corners.
