- The tray is suitable for installation on racks or growing benches, providing a level, watertight platform for cultivation.
- It is supplied as a single solid piece, ready for immediate use.
- Each unit is equipped with a sieve filter and irrigation connector.
- One side of the tray includes marked spots for drilling, giving growers the flexibility to create inlets, outlets, and filter connections where needed. As the holes are not pre-drilled, their size and position can be customized to the system. Using a drill bit made for plastic ensures the best outcome.

Description
General Information about Ebb & Flow Hydroponic Tray 90x180cm
The Ebb & Flow tray is a high-quality component designed for professional hydroponic systems and microgreens production. Manufactured from 3 mm thick virgin plastic with UV protection, it offers outstanding strength and is resistant to continuous use under artificial lighting and frequent irrigation.
Its structure includes integrated channels that direct water toward a deeper drainage zone, allowing for efficient and secure water flow management. At this drainage point, users can easily fit inlets and outlets for nutrient solution, which are compatible with standard PVC fittings commonly available in hardware stores.
Technical Parameters:
- Total tray length: 182.5 cm
- Total tray width: 91,5 cm
- Total tray height: 7,5 cm
- Inner height (after subtracting square supports): 5,6 cm
- Drainage connection area: 6 × 18 cm
- Height of element protruding below the base: 4 cm
How to Use EBB and Flow Hydroponic Tray 90x180cm?
Ebb & Flow System
The tray is connected via a lead-through with a tap to a pump that periodically floods the growing surface and then drains the solution back to the reservoir. This cycle supports oxygen exchange and root development. Overflow outlets can be installed for safety, and a circulation pump in the tank helps keep the solution mixed and oxygenated. Recommended water level: max. 1 cm which ensures the roots are properly irrigated without soaking the seeds.
Drip Irrigation System
The tray may also be used within a drip irrigation setup. In this approach, a water line equipped with drippers is positioned above the tray, supplying nutrient solution directly to the plants. Surplus liquid exits through a single lead-through, making the system easy to install and highly effective in regulating moisture in pots or containers placed on the tray.
Manual Watering System
The tray can also function as a manual watering system when used without drilled holes. In this method, water or nutrient solution is poured directly into the tray, providing uniform irrigation for all plants at once. It’s a time-saving and convenient option, particularly for small-scale or trial setups, while still ensuring even moisture distribution across the surface. For best results, maintain a maximum water height of 1 cm, which keeps the roots properly hydrated without oversaturating the seeds.
