General Information about Ebb & Flow Hydroponic Tray 120×240cm
The Ebb & Flow Hydroponic Tray 120 × 240 cm is built for professional growers who need a reliable, large-format cultivation surface. Whether you're running a hydroponic setup, growing microgreens, or managing a commercial operation, it fits naturally into large racks, growing benches, and custom hydroponic systems.
Constructed from 3 mm thick UV-stabilized virgin plastic, the tray holds up well under intensive irrigation cycles, artificial lighting, and the demanding conditions of professional growing environments.Integrated drainage channels direct excess water toward the drainage outlet, helping maintain uniform moisture levels across the growing area.
Unlike modular alternatives, this tray arrives as a single-piece unit, no assembly needed, just install and start growing.

How to Use EBB and Flow Hydroponic Tray 120×240cm?
Ebb & Flow System
The tray can be integrated into a standard Ebb & Flow system. Connected through a lead-through and tap to a pump, the tray is periodically flooded with nutrient solution. When the pump switches off, the solution drains back into the reservoir, creating a natural oxygen exchange within the growing medium.
This flooding and draining cycle promotes strong root development by pushing oxygen out during flooding and drawing it back in as the water recedes. An optional overflow fitting may be added for additional safety. The recommended water height is a maximum of 1 cm to irrigate roots without soaking the seeds.
Drip Irrigation System
The tray may also be used within a drip irrigation setup. In this configuration, a water supply line equipped with drippers is positioned above the growing area, delivering nutrient solution directly to the plants. Excess liquid drains through the outlet, making the system simple to install and highly effective for controlling moisture levels in pots or containers placed on the tray.
Manual Watering System
The tray can also function as a manual watering system. Water or nutrient solution is poured directly into the tray, allowing all plants to be irrigated evenly at the same time. This method is especially useful for smaller production runs, propagation projects, or trial crops while still ensuring consistent moisture distribution across the entire growing surface.
For best results, maintain a maximum water height of 1 cm, which keeps roots properly hydrated without oversaturating seeds.
